I love your insight. That's a question I'm asking myself. Writing is a lonely activity, and maybe that's why there's a certain joy in sharing it. Honestly, I think we wouldn't be publishing online if we were writing only for ourselves.

The fact that you're writing a novel and using Substack as a creative and social space, I think that's awesome.

You know what’s wild? I never really had a good answer to the question, what would you do if you could do anything and time and money wasn’t a concern, but of course it’s writing.

It’s a thing I’ve always done in my free time, always found the most solace in and felt the most myself with. Even in writing my own fiction book or this Substack it never occurred to me that was what I’d say. I don’t know why, but until I just read it in your piece, it never dawned on me! So thank you for that 🖤
